40 hrs per week + weekends @overtime rate.
Based in Aldridge, Walsall but covering the Midlands Area.
You are responsible for servicing portable toilets on a weekly basis covering other runs if required and covering event work both in the week and at weekends, which may involve delivering and collecting of items using truck and trailer. Attendant work over weekends. Servicing at events over weekends. And covering the other drivers in the business at times of absence either service or delivery / collections using a variety of vehicles supplied by the company.
Delivery and Service Driving
- Driving Company vehicles to client sites in a safe manner and delivering and collecting portable toilet units and other items.
- Use of trailers to deliver in to larger events (License permitting)
- Carrying out daily checks and maintaining company vehicles
- Ensuring portable sanitation units are delivered and collected in line with company standards, procedures and Health & Safety Regulations.
- Maintaining all required paperwork in line with procedures and requirements.
- Inputting information into various IT supporting equipment where necessary.
- Overall duties are in line with H&S requirements.
- Any other reasonable task required by the company.
Service Driving
- Driving Company vehicles to client sites in a safe manner
- Ensuring toilets are emptied in a safe working manner and in line with environmental and health and safety regulations.
- Flexibility on service routes
- Daily Maintenance and Checks on Vehicles
- Maintaining all required paperwork in line with procedures and requirements.
- Overall duties are in line with H&S requirements
- Using tablet device to capture clients signatures and input any relevant information regarding the job
Yard Operative
- Loading and unloading vehicles by hand – not using a forklift unless in possession of a Company forklift truck licence
- Sorting stock and transporting to storage areas
- Safe use of Pressure Washer
- Stock repairs
- Ensuring stock is clean and ready for client use
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Answering questions from customers
- Any other reasonable task required by the company
Key Skills
- Mechanically minded – desirable
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Flexibility and can adapt to change
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with particular attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
- Enthusiastic, efficient, well-motivated and a positive attitude
- Ability to organise and prioritise
- Ability to work as part of a small team with limited supervision
- Good product knowledge upon completion of in-house training
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety working and be aware that this job is physically demanding with work mainly carried out outside.
- Timekeeping and attendance are essential to maintain customer demands
